Hope Squad

Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program where students are nominated by their classmates to be trained as trusted individuals who can identify and support peers struggling with mental health issues or suicidal thoughts. These students are not counselors, but are trained to recognize warning signs, offer support, and connect their peers with adults who can provide professional help. Hope Squads aim to create a culture of care within schools, reducing stigma surrounding mental health and suicide, and ultimately, preventing suicides.
